The Drop Down object is an app layout object found in the input toolbox. |
Details
The Drop Down object can be used on an app to capture data selected manually by an app user or dynamically using behavior. Once captured, that data can then be displayed to, and/or modified by, other users who view the app instance.
A Drop Down object can have multiple options, which can be pre-defined at design time or populated dynamically at run-time from a third-party data source using the Connect behavior command. Only a single selection can be made in a Drop Down object.
A selection may also be set, or modified, in a Drop Down object dynamically using the Set Field and Copy Fields behavior commands along with the more advanced behaviors Connect, Connect and Search, Get Field From Other Instance and Set Field In Other Instance.
Setting the 'value' of a Drop Down to zero will deselect whichever option is selected in the drop-down, providing that none of the options has the value of zero. |
