As well as providing several date functions, PerfectApps supports easy-to-use date arithmetic calculations. Sample calculations are provided below.
Example: What is the difference between my date of birth and my spouse's?
We can simply subtract two fields from one another to get a result in days.
Example: Write the result of today's date plus 30 days into a date field.
This is also simple date arithmetic. If you wanted to see this in a text field, you would first have to assign the result into a field (see the Helper Fields topic) and then write that result into the text field as a separate Set Field command. To use today's date, choose from the Special values list on the right.
Example: What day of the week is it? What month is that date?
When you need to convert dates into text, you will need to use a function. There are several date-to-text conversion functions (see the Functions topic).
Detailed Date & Time Difference Calculations
PerfectApps supports the ability to calculate the difference between date fields and time fields and then to display the result in units of time such as years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds. Please refer to the Date Difference section of the Functions topic for usage information.
