Value of a Field
|
Selection of this radio button enables you to select a field from your app from which the app instance ID can be pulled.
To select the desired field, click the Select button, then navigate to the field containing the app instance ID. Once a selection has been made, the value will be shown in the read-only text box to the left of the Select button.
Each app instance has a unique ID. In order to retrieve a specific field from a specific instance, this ID must be known. In most cases, this ID will be stored in an app field within the current app instance. Often, this will be a New Instance button object or the Child App button object within a Table object.
