PerfectApps™ Help Guide

The Is Default Stage property indicates the stage that all new instances will initially occupy. There is always one, and only one, default stage in a workflow. Every app that uses a workflow will have a default stage. Note that there is never a role associated with the New stage.

To mark a stage as the default, select the stage and select Is Default Stage on the Stage Properties panel. The first stage dropped on the workflow diagram is automatically marked as the Default stage.

Make sure that the starting point in your workflow diagram has the Is Default Stage checked. Failure to do so will result in an error message and no logical flow.

The default stage is displayed in the diagram with the dark gray color bar.
