Exporting or Importing a Report

Scroll Prev Top Next More

The Migrate option on the Reports Workspace is found from the More Options button Universal - More options buttonand allows you to import or export the report design.

Exporting a report follows the same procedure as exporting an app, but without the option to export any data. See Migrating an App and Exporting App Data

Another user may import the report. If the data source(s) used by the report are also available to the new user, they will be identified upon import and automatically linked. If the data source is unavailable on imported, then a new data source must be created.

If the report you are importing uses a data source that depends on a connection, you must first import the appropriate connection. The connection migration must be complete for the app and its report(s) to be imported without error.

The recommended sequence of migration for apps or reports that have connection dependencies is:

1. Import the connection

2. Import the source app

3. Publish the source app

4. Import the report (it should display dependencies - OK)

5. Publish the report

For more information, see Migrating Connections.
